OnCourse — Real-Time Golf Beverage-Cart Platform

A production beverage-cart ordering platform I built from the ground up as the sole engineer — one Flutter codebase running simultaneously across iOS, Android, and Web. Golfers order from their phone and a live dispatch system routes every order from golfer to cart driver through Cloud Firestore with sub-second latency and transactional safety.

Security and correctness are enforced at the data layer: a 4-tier role model (customer · driver · admin · super_admin) gates every read and write, and transactional order creation uses mutex locking on the active_orders collection so two drivers can never double-accept the same ticket. The engineering centerpiece is a two-layer real-time GPS system — a continuous stream gives admins live visibility across every active driver, while a delivery-scoped stream lets each customer watch their order move on a live map, with position streams and permission lifecycles kept in sync across multiple courses without stale data or memory leaks.

I delivered the entire stack with zero external engineering support: Flutter frontend, Cloud Functions backend, Firebase Auth with role-based routing, Cloud Storage on a CDN, live maps via flutter_map and OpenStreetMap, FCM push notifications, and an automated image-preprocessing pipeline that generates thumbnails on every upload — every commit passing flutter analyze with zero issues.

Tap N Go — NFC Dealership Inventory Platform

A multi-tenant SaaS platform I architected and built end-to-end for automotive dealerships — processing $10M+ in vehicle inventory every month on a 3-tier Cloud Firestore hierarchy with tenant-scoped security rules, and holding 99.5% uptime on a system where a single reconciliation error flows straight into a dealership's accounting.

At the front line is an NFC-based Android counting app used monthly by 500+ field technicians: staff tap a SmartTag on each vehicle, scan the VIN, and the count syncs to Firestore — with offline-first persistence that survives crashes and dropped connections mid-count. I led the Java-to-Kotlin migration that cleared 200+ latent bugs and improved runtime performance by 35%.

On the backend I built the Tekion DMS integration with OAuth2 token exchange, paginated inventory cursor walks, and a fallback Excel pipeline that rejects malformed VINs before any record reaches the database — then wrote the reconciliation engine that computes set differences between physical scans and DMS snapshots and commits results atomically through Firestore writeBatch. An automated PDF and Excel export pipeline replaced the old manual spreadsheet process, cutting monthly report prep by 85% and driving a 40% reduction in user-reported issues.
